CO2 gas sensors are available in a number of ‘ppm detection ranges’. They utilize nondispersive infrared (NDIR) to detect the presence of the gas. CO2 molecules absorb specific wavelengths of light and this is detected in the sensor. Heating and ventilation systems (HVAC) use these to provide demand controlled ventilation (DCV).

All carbon dioxide sensors need calibration. Depending on the application, this can be accomplished by calibrating the sensor to a known gas or using the automatic baseline calibration (ABC) method. Both have pros and cons you should know. Most of our CO2 products use nondispersive infrared (NDIR) carbon dioxide sensors.

8/11/2009· The pressure gauge on the Co2 tank goes from 02000 psi. From 0500 psi the gauge is marked in red with a warning saying "order gas". I had the tank filled last weekend and since then I have only used the tank to clean the beer lines and to expel oxygen from 2 kegs after filling them with beer (20 psi then purge, etc).
